Abstract:
Russia at Home And Abroad: The Relationship Between Domestic and Foreign Relations”. Now that it is clear that Russia will be ruled for the next six year by President Putin, questions are being raised about the kind of policies Russia will pursue. The increase in public demonstrations and anti-Putin activities has also raised the question of whether or not a “new” Russia is emerging, and what this will mean for both domestic and foreign policies. The talk will address these questions by looking at the dynamics of Russian society and political culture, and at the global challenges the Russian leadership will face in the coming years.
P.S.: The seminar will be in English.
