IHU Summer School 2015 - Nationalism, Religion & Violence

The 3rd Summer School on Nationalism, Religion and Violence will be organised between June 29 and July 10, 2015 in Thessaloniki, Greece. It is organised by the International Hellenic University and the Charles University in Prague and is supported by LSEE Research on South East Europe and PRIO (Cyprus Centre). The working language will be English.

 

The Summer School will focus on four distinct but interrelated topics: Political Violence; Institutions and Politics; Memory as well as Migration from an interdisciplinary perspective. The seminar can be taken by both undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as activists. It is led by international researchers targeting students and graduates of Political Science, History, Anthropology, International Relations, Law, Journalism and other related disciplines.


Accommodation and fees
Participation fees
The tuition fees cost 450 euros.
Participants are free to choose accommodation from a variety of options,
with prices starting from 150 euros for the whole 2 weeks.
Participants are responsible for their travel expenses.


Discounts and fellowships
• 20%: early bird (for registration by 15 April 2015)
• 30%: Charles University students & International Hellenic University
students & Alumni
• PRIO fellowships
• A number of fellowships for travel, accommodation and the waiving
of tuition fees are available based upon merit and financial need.
